Balochistan Government Approves Modern Safe City Authority Project

The government of Balochistan has approved the establishment of a modern Safe City Authority aimed at enhancing security and technological infrastructure across the province. The decision was taken during a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta, chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

According to officials, the Safe City Authority will supervise the installation of advanced surveillance cameras in major urban centers across Balochistan. The initiative is designed to align with modern security standards and improve monitoring systems to strengthen public safety.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti received a detailed briefing regarding the progress of ongoing Safe City projects. He directed relevant departments to immediately resolve any administrative, technical, or financial hurdles that could delay the project. He also emphasized accelerating the implementation process to ensure timely completion.

The chief minister assured that the provincial government would provide all necessary financial and technical resources on a priority basis. He described the Safe City project as an important milestone for the province and noted that Balochistan will become the second province in Pakistan, after Punjab, to introduce a modern Safe City system.

Officials stated that the Safe City Authority will significantly support law enforcement agencies by improving surveillance capabilities and response coordination. The initiative is expected to play a vital role in strengthening security infrastructure and maintaining public order across the province.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the government’s commitment to fast-track the project and ensure its successful completion at the earliest possible time.
