Sargodha: In a high-level meeting chaired by Commissioner Sargodha Division Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti, the progress made in a week by the concerned institutions on the public welfare initiatives of Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif was reviewed. Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Captain Retired Aurangzeb Haider Khan and Director Development Bilal Hasan, and DCs of Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar participated in the meeting through video link. In the meeting, a briefing was given on price control in all four districts, monitoring of bread and bread prices, inspection of ongoing development projects and the preparation of estimates by evaluating minor dilapidated structures in urban and rural areas. The meeting was told that in the light of the orders of the Chief Minister Punjab, estimates have also been prepared for the repair of overhand bridges and zebra crossings in front of educational institutions across the division. In the meeting, the progress report of clinics in wheels and actions taken so far against medical stores selling prohibited drugs were also informed. Similarly, it was also informed about the elimination of encroachment from graveyards, spending on four walls, mini petrol agencies and regulatory action against those doing illegal refilling of gas. The meeting also discussed about cleaning, construction and repair of drain collector lines, measures to ensure supply of fertilizers and agricultural medicines to the farmers at fixed prices etc.
