During the special large-scale crackdown against the criminals, especially the drug peddlers under the leadership of DPO Sheikhupura, 415 drug peddlers including the main leader of drug peddlers have been arrested and 403 cases have been registered against them. According to the details, the business of drug peddling was on the rise in Sheikhupura city and its surroundings. Even in schools and colleges, this scandal was rampant, which was destroying the young generation. DPO Sheikhupura Zahid Nawaz Marwat, as soon as he took charge of his post as DPO in Sheikhupura district, started indiscriminate operations against the people involved in crimes like drug peddling to save the young generation from the scourge of drug addiction. In this regard, police stations across the district have so far arrested 415 suspects involved in the crime of drug selling and registered 403 cases against them under the leadership of DPO Sheikhupura as a result of various operations in their respective police station’s area. During this crackdown, 654 kilos of hashish, 56 kilos of opium, 5 kilos of heroin, 3033 liters of alcohol and 8 active furnaces worth crores of rupees have been recovered from the possession of drug dealers. These are the biggest operations against drug peddlers in the history of Sheikhupura. The citizens of Sheikhupura seem to be very happy with these operations.
