Sargodha: Candidate of PML-N Mohsin Ranjha attacked candidate PTI Shafqat Abbas Awan along with his colleagues when he came to Returning Officer Sargodha Arshad Wattoo to submit his nomination papers. According to Soon Times sources, the PML-N rioters tried to snatch his nomination papers, upon which lawyers of Tehreek-e-Insaf forced the workers of PML-N to flee. Meanwhile, former MNA Mohsin Ranjha escaped in his car. The PML-N workers also took the opportunity and escaped from the premises of the DC office. Arshad Wattoo did not come till the evening due to which the nomination papers could not be submitted. Sargodha police did not come forward during this commotion and deliberately remained absent from the scene. According to our sources, despite all precautions taken by the Shafqat Abbas Awan group, the PML-N candidates created the reason of the fight. The administration failed to manage the situation. A major tragedy cannot be ruled out after this unfortunate incident during the submission of nomination papers. The current state of intolerance in the city is alarming. Shafqat Abbas Awan has urged his supporters to remain peaceful. In a conversation with Soon Times, Shafqat Abbas Awan expressed surprise at the behavior of Mohsin Ranjha and his colleagues and vowed to stead fast in all kinds of situations. Before going to submit his nomination papers, he released his video message in which he denied linking the May 9 incidents to the chairman PTI or the party. He said under oath that when we met Imran Khan, he never spoke against the institutions. He always spoke for the betterment of Pakistan. It should be noted that PTI is in a position to win in Sargodha with a huge margin in all the public polls conducted so far. If the hurdles are not created, the PML-N will be badly defeated.
