The rumors that have been going on for the past several days have died down. In the meeting held in Lahore yesterday, PML-N decided the ticket for National Assembly constituency 87 of Khushab and has promised to issue a ticket to Shakir Bashir Awan for constituency NA 87, on the other hand, Sumaira Malik Group on still confident a ticket on behalf of Shahbaz Sharif promise. According to sources, Nawaz Sharif has to finalize on the basis of 34 member committee findings already in favor of Shakir Bashir Awan. While the most important development is that former MPA Malik Javed Awan, who joined the PPP some months ago, met the PML-N chief yesterday. It was discussed to field him from PP 81 on the ticket of PML-N, but dialogues failed due to PPP Candidate Azhar Ali Awan already being announced to contest for PP 81 Khushab. According to Malik Javed Awan, he will not contest in this situation against Malik Azhar Awan. Malik Asif Bha will contest the election from PP 82 on the ticket of PML-N. Later another important meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Khan Tareen and decided seat adjustment. PP 82 Khushab is the important seat where IPP is looking for seat adjustment.
On the other hand, conflicting news is circulating in the constituency with reference to Malik Salar Awan. Sumaira Malik Group is claiming that they will get the ticket. But the news of Salar Awan going to be independent, or IPP, is circulating in public circles(In the case of it, ignored by PML-N). The important thing in this regard is that in the campaign of Sumaira Malik, IPP candidate Ameer Hyder Sangha appeared several times with her. No official statement was issued in this regard. It is expected that the real truth may come out anytime today. In this regard, if any party wants to give its version, the statement will be published.
