PAF Contingent Takes Charge of Guard Duties at Mazar-e-Iqbal on Pakistan Day

Pakistan Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, including at all bases of the Pakistan Air Force, where the occasion was marked with traditional zeal and patriotic spirit.

The day began with special prayers offered after Fajr for the unity, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah.

A key highlight of the celebrations was the guard mounting and wreath-laying ceremony held at the Mazar-e-Iqbal, the mausoleum of the great poet and philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

During the ceremony, a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Air Force took over guard duties from the Satluj Rangers, symbolizing respect and continuity of national traditions. The event reflected the deep reverence held for Allama Iqbal, whose vision played a crucial role in the creation of Pakistan.

The Chief Guest, Muhammad Shahid Afzaal, Air Officer Commanding of PAF Airmen Academy Korangi Creek, laid a floral wreath at the grave of Allama Iqbal. He also offered Fateha on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, officers, airmen, and civilians of the Pakistan Air Force.

The ceremony served as a reminder of Iqbal’s philosophical contributions and his enduring influence on Pakistan’s ideological foundation. His thoughts continue to inspire generations and guide the nation towards progress and unity.

Such events not only commemorate historical figures but also strengthen the spirit of patriotism among citizens and armed forces alike. The guard mounting ceremony stands as a symbol of honor, respect, and national pride.

In conclusion, the participation of the Pakistan Air Force in this ceremony highlights the importance of remembering national heroes and celebrating Pakistan Day with dignity and unity.
