In a significant development along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, the Pakistan Army conducted a targeted cross-border strike against a Taliban militant post in the Dor Baba area of Afghanistan. According to security sources, the operation involved heavy shelling directed at a specific location believed to be actively supporting anti-Pakistan militant activities.
Officials stated that the strike was launched after serious security concerns and escalating cross-border tensions. The targeted post was reportedly being used for planning and coordinating attacks against Pakistan. As a result of the operation, four militants were killed, including two key Taliban commanders identified as Bismillah and Rustam.
Security authorities clarified that the action was not random but part of a carefully planned response to neutralize immediate threats to Pakistan’s national security. Following the shelling, the militant base was reportedly destroyed.
This latest incident has further strained relations between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban authorities. In recent weeks, border regions have witnessed increasing clashes, allegations, and heightened military activity. Pakistan has consistently raised concerns about militant groups allegedly operating from Afghan territory and launching attacks across the border.
The situation remains highly sensitive, with security forces on both sides maintaining high alert. Residents living in border areas continue to face uncertainty due to ongoing tensions and security operations.
