64 Pakistan–Middle East Flights Cancelled Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Flight operations between Pakistan and the Middle East have been severely disrupted, with 64 two-way flights cancelled due to escalating regional tensions.

According to airport authorities, major airlines including Pakistan International Airlines, Airblue, Air Arabia, Iran Air, and Qatar Airways were affected by the disruptions.

The highest number of cancellations was reported at Jinnah International Airport, where 20 two-way flights were cancelled. Routes to major Gulf cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Muscat were impacted.

At Islamabad International Airport, another 20 flights were suspended, affecting connectivity with key destinations such as Doha, Bahrain, and Dammam.

Similarly, Allama Iqbal International Airport reported six cancelled flights, mainly on routes to Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

In Bacha Khan International Airport, eight flights to destinations including Dubai, Doha, and Sharjah were grounded.

The cancellations come amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have disrupted air travel and affected hundreds of passengers across Pakistan.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, while passengers have been advised to check with airlines for updates before traveling.

This disruption highlights the broader impact of regional instability on international travel and aviation operations.
