Pakistan Railways Announces Four Special Eid Trains for Passengers

Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of four special Eid trains to facilitate passengers traveling across the country ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.

The decision aims to help thousands of people who travel to their hometowns to celebrate the festival with their families.

According to railway officials, the first special train will depart from Lahore to Karachi on March 16. During its journey, the train will pass through several major cities including Okara, Sahiwal, and Khanewal.

The second special train will leave Quetta for Rawalpindi on March 17. This train will make stops at important stations such as Sukkur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, and Lahore before reaching its final destination.

Officials also announced that the third special train will travel from Karachi to Peshawar on March 17, providing an additional travel option for passengers moving between southern and northern parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the fourth special train will run from Karachi to Lahore on March 18, helping manage the large number of travelers expected during the Eid holidays.

Railway authorities explained that special train services are commonly introduced during busy travel seasons such as Eid.

These additional services help reduce overcrowding on regular trains, improve passenger convenience, and ensure smoother transportation between major cities.

Pakistan Railways officials stated that the initiative is designed to make travel easier for families and individuals planning to celebrate Eid with their loved ones.

They also encouraged passengers to book their tickets early to avoid last-minute difficulties during the holiday rush.

Every year, millions of Pakistanis travel across the country during Eid holidays, making it one of the busiest periods for transportation services.
