PFA Conducted Crackdown on Fake Milk Makers

Sargodha: Punjab Food Authority conducted a major crackdown in Sargodha against fake milk manufacturers. On receiving secret information, the team conducted a raid in Miani and the gang making fake milk was caught red-handed. 462 kg of skimmed powder and 165 kg of substandard ghee were recovered. 13,000 liters of fake milk was to be prepared from the seized powder and ghee. A milky solution was prepared by mixing ghee, powder and chemicals in water. The food safety team faced resistance for 2 hours during the checking. A case of forgery has been registered against the accused in the Miani police station. According to PFA citizens should contact helpline 1223 to identify adulterant ingredients in food.
