Ramazan Begins Nationwide as Families Prepare for First Sehri Across Pakistan

The holy month of Ramazan has officially commenced across Pakistan, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere as Muslims nationwide prepared for the first Sehri and observed their inaugural fast of the blessed month.

Markets across major cities and towns remained busy late into the night, with families purchasing food items and household essentials for Sehri and Iftar. Mosques welcomed large congregations as worshippers gathered for the first Taraweeh prayers, marking the formal beginning of Ramazan with devotion and reflection.

To facilitate citizens during the holy month, the government announced special arrangements aimed at easing daily routines. Authorities confirmed that there will be no electricity load-shedding during Sehri and Iftar hours across the country. In addition, gas supply is expected to remain uninterrupted from 3:00am to 10:30pm, allowing households to prepare meals without inconvenience.

National leaders also extended Ramazan greetings to the people of Pakistan and Muslims around the world. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described Ramazan as a month of worship, patience, and spiritual renewal. He urged citizens to support those in need, strengthen unity, and uphold values of compassion and tolerance throughout the month.

Across the country, families gathered in homes and mosques, beginning Ramazan with prayers, reflection, and hopes for peace, blessings, and prosperity. The start of the holy month once again highlighted the deep cultural and spiritual significance Ramazan holds for millions of Pakistanis.
