Field Marshal Asim Munir Concludes Iran Visit, Calls for Peaceful Resolution Through Dialogue

Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces, has concluded his three-day official visit to Iran, where he strongly emphasized the importance of dialogue, de-escalation and peaceful resolution of ongoing regional issues.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the Field Marshal, accompanied by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and a high-level delegation, engaged in a series of important meetings with top Iranian leadership.

During the visit, he met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and senior military leadership including Major General Ali Abdollahi.

The discussions focused on promoting long-term peace and stability in the region, especially in light of the evolving security environment and ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Both sides explored diplomatic pathways and collaborative measures to reduce tensions and enhance regional cooperation.

Field Marshal Asim Munir conveyed Pakistan’s commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations with Iran, highlighting the historic and brotherly ties between the two nations. He also delivered goodwill messages from the leadership and people of Pakistan.
