Balochistan Acts Against Official Over Austerity Policy Violation in Quetta

The Balochistan government has initiated strict enforcement of its austerity policy by taking action against an official in Quetta for violating the prescribed rules.

According to officials from the Livestock and Dairy Development Department, a government vehicle assigned to a district officer was withdrawn after it was found that the officer had breached austerity guidelines issued by Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

A formal notice has also been issued to the officer, demanding an explanation for the violation. Authorities have directed that the confiscated vehicle be returned immediately to the official vehicle pool, reinforcing the seriousness of the action.

The provincial government has made it clear that no leniency will be shown in implementing austerity measures. Officials stated that the policy aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficient use of public resources.

This move signals a firm stance by the Balochistan administration to enforce discipline within government departments. The authorities emphasized that similar actions will be taken against any official found violating the austerity policy, regardless of position.

The enforcement of these measures reflects the government’s commitment to responsible governance and better management of public assets, ensuring that taxpayer resources are not misused.
