The Balochistan government has announced a compensation package of Rs11.1 million for the legal heirs of each police official martyred in the recent terrorist attack in Ziarat, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the families of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
According to an official statement issued by Shahid Rind, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information and Political Affairs, the compensation amount will be delivered directly to the families at their homes to ensure timely financial assistance without unnecessary delays.
The release of the compensation was approved after the completion of all administrative and financial formalities on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
In addition to the one-time compensation payment, the provincial government has pledged long-term support for the bereaved families. Officials said the government will bear the maintenance expenses of the dependents, provide welfare assistance, and ensure the education costs of the martyrs’ children are covered.
Shahid Rind stated that while no amount of money can compensate for the loss of a loved one, the government remains committed to standing beside the families during this difficult time and will continue extending every possible assistance in the future.
The announcement follows the deadly terrorist attack on a police checkpost in Ziarat, where several police personnel embraced martyrdom while performing their duties. Authorities have reiterated their resolve to support the families of the fallen officers and continue efforts to strengthen security across the province.
