Car Stolen from Former MPA Jamal Siddiqui’s Brother in Karachi

A car belonging to former Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Jamal Siddiqui was stolen from the Korangi Crossing area of Karachi, prompting police to register a case and launch an investigation.

According to Jamal Siddiqui, the vehicle was being used by his brother, Zaheeruddin, who had parked the car near a restaurant before going inside for a meal.

When Zaheeruddin returned, he found that the car was missing from the location where he had parked it. He searched the surrounding area but was unable to find the vehicle before approaching the police.

Zaheeruddin subsequently went to Zaman Town Police Station, where he registered a case concerning the theft. Police have started investigating the incident and are expected to review available CCTV footage from the area to identify those involved and trace the stolen vehicle.

The incident has once again highlighted concerns over vehicle theft in Karachi, where residents frequently report cars and motorcycles being stolen from commercial areas, streets and residential neighbourhoods.

Police said further details regarding the stolen vehicle and the suspects are expected to emerge as the investigation continues.
