Five Family Members Killed in Qila Abdullah Land Dispute Clash
QUETTA – A violent clash over a land ownership dispute in Balochistan’s Qila Abdullah district claimed the lives of five family members and left another person injured, according to police officials.
The deadly incident occurred on Tuesday in the Do-Bandi area, where members of the same extended family reportedly exchanged gunfire following a long-standing disagreement over land ownership. Authorities said the confrontation involved cousins belonging to the Nusratzai tribe and escalated into a heavily armed exchange.
According to police, armed individuals from both sides took positions against each other in the area and opened fire using automatic weapons. The exchange of gunfire reportedly continued for more than an hour, creating panic among local residents and resulting in multiple casualties.
Law enforcement officials said five people lost their lives during the clash, while one individual sustained injuries. The injured person was shifted to a nearby healthcare facility for medical treatment.

Police identified the deceased as Muhammad Usman, Qudratullah, Israr Ahmed, Muhammad Tahir, and Najeebullah. Investigators said all the victims belonged to the same family and were involved in the dispute over land ownership.
Following medico-legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to family members for burial. Local residents gathered at the hospital and in the affected area as news of the tragedy spread throughout the district.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the clash was the result of an ongoing disagreement regarding ownership and possession of land in the Do-Bandi region, which is located near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
