Imran Khan Taken to PIMS for Medical Treatment, Says PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has claimed that party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan was taken from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical treatment before being shifted back to prison. According to Barrister Gohar, Imran Khan underwent a medical check-up and received an injection during the late-night hospital visit.

The PTI leadership has once again urged authorities to transfer Imran Khan to a hospital where he can receive treatment under proper medical supervision. The party also demanded that his family be granted immediate access to meet him, expressing concerns over delays in family visits.

Barrister Gohar stated that this was not the first time the former prime minister had been taken to PIMS for medical care. In recent months, Imran Khan reportedly received treatment related to an eye condition and underwent several injections as part of an ongoing medical procedure. Previous medical evaluations suggested improvements in his eyesight, although doctors continued to monitor his condition.

Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, remain incarcerated in Adiala Jail while facing multiple legal proceedings. PTI leaders insist that the former premier’s health requires consistent monitoring in a hospital setting. However, officials have not yet issued an official statement confirming the latest reported hospital visit.

The development has reignited discussions surrounding the healthcare rights of prisoners and the transparency of medical arrangements for high-profile detainees in Pakistan.
