KARACHI: Karachi experienced pleasant weather after light drizzle and scattered showers swept across several parts of the city overnight, providing relief from the prevailing hot and humid conditions.
Light drizzle was reported in central areas including Saddar, II Chundrigar Road, Burns Road and surrounding localities. Residents also reported light showers along Shahrah-e-Faisal, Tariq Road, Bahadurabad and Jamshed Road.
Rain was also observed in areas including Karachi Airport, Shah Faisal, Malir, Landhi and Korangi. The light rainfall reduced the intensity of the humid weather and offered some relief to people travelling or working outdoors during the night.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in several parts of the country. Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to receive rain, with adjoining hilly areas also expected to experience showers.
Most other plains across the country are likely to remain hot and humid. The weather department has advised residents to stay updated on local weather conditions, particularly in areas where rain or thunderstorms are forecast.
