Kundi Offers Talks with Sindh Over Wheat Supply Crisis in K-P

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is currently facing serious wheat supply challenges, prompting Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to propose inter-provincial talks with Sindh to address the crisis.

Speaking at the Baniyan-e-Marsous and Stability of Pakistan Conference held at the Governor’s House in Peshawar, Kundi highlighted the urgency of resolving wheat shortages in the province. He stated that he is willing to engage with the Sindh government regarding wheat shipments, provided Punjab allows transit for smooth transportation.

The governor emphasized that resolving the wheat crisis requires cooperation among provinces. He pointed out that logistical support, especially transit permissions from Punjab, will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of essential food supplies in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Beyond the wheat issue, Kundi also addressed the broader theme of national unity and stability. Referring to the concept of “Baniyan-e-Marsous,” he described it as a symbol of strength, discipline, and unity, which Pakistan needs in the current situation.

He further stressed that national stability is not dependent solely on military strength but also requires strong political and economic foundations. According to him, sustainable progress can only be achieved when all pillars of the state work together in harmony.

The conference brought together religious scholars, political leaders, and social figures from across the country, focusing on the importance of unity and coordinated efforts in addressing national challenges.

Kundi’s remarks underline the importance of inter-provincial collaboration in tackling food security issues and highlight the need for a unified approach to ensure stability and growth in Pakistan.
