RIYADH: Pakistan’s Interior Minister and Minister for Narcotics Control, Mohsin Raza Naqvi, has arrived in Saudi Arabia on an official visit to strengthen bilateral relations and expand security cooperation between Pakistan and the Kingdom.
Upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Mohsin Naqvi received a warm welcome from Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif. The high-level reception reflects the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership shared by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During the visit, both sides are expected to hold detailed discussions on several important issues, including counter-terrorism cooperation, border security, anti-narcotics operations, intelligence sharing, and enhanced coordination between the interior ministries of the two countries.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have maintained close diplomatic, political, economic, and security relations for decades. Regular exchanges of senior officials have played a vital role in strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors, particularly in regional security and law enforcement.
Officials are also expected to explore new opportunities for collaboration aimed at combating transnational crime, improving security coordination, and addressing emerging regional challenges through joint efforts.
The visit comes at a time when both countries are seeking to further deepen strategic cooperation and strengthen institutional partnerships. Security experts believe the discussions will contribute to enhanced intelligence cooperation and improved coordination against terrorism and organized crime.
