Pakistan women’s football team made history with a stunning 8-0 victory over the Turks and Caicos Islands Women’s Football Team in their opening match of the FIFA Series in Abidjan.
This remarkable result marks the biggest win in Pakistan women’s football history, surpassing their previous 7-0 victory against Maldives in 2022. The team delivered a dominant performance from start to finish, showcasing strong attacking play and teamwork.
Under the guidance of head coach Adeel Rizki, Pakistan took control early in the match. Zahmena Malik opened the scoring in the 10th minute, followed quickly by a second goal from Aqsa Mushtaq.
Layla Banaras extended the lead with a brilliant midfield run, while Mariam Mahmood added another before halftime to make it 4-0.
Pakistan maintained the momentum in the second half, with Nadia Khan scoring a header, followed by additional goals from Aqsa and Layla, both completing their braces. Isra Khan sealed the emphatic victory with the eighth goal.
The team dominated possession and created multiple scoring opportunities throughout the match, leaving little chance for their opponents to respond.
President of the Pakistan Football Federation, Mohsen Gilani, praised the team’s outstanding performance, calling it the beginning of a new era for women’s football in Pakistan.
