The federal government has announced a fresh increase in petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices, with the revised fuel rates taking effect immediately across Pakistan.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs1.09 per litre, raising the new rate from Rs335.06 to Rs336.15 per litre.
Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs2.42 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs393.04 per litre.
The revised petroleum prices became effective immediately following the government’s announcement and will remain in force until the next scheduled fuel price review. Future adjustments will depend on international crude oil prices, exchange rate movements, and recommendations from the relevant authorities.
Fuel price revisions directly impact transportation costs, logistics, and the prices of essential goods, making them an important factor for businesses and consumers across Pakistan. The latest increase comes amid continued fluctuations in global oil markets and changing international energy prices.
