The federal government has revised petroleum prices for the new pricing period, increasing the price of petrol while reducing the rate of high-speed diesel.
According to the latest notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), petrol has become 77 paisa per litre more expensive. The increase takes the new petrol price to Rs342.79 per litre.
In contrast, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs1.03 per litre, bringing the new diesel price down to Rs370.41 per litre.
The latest adjustment will have a mixed impact on consumers. Motorists using petrol will face a slight increase in their fuel expenses, while diesel users will receive limited relief from the reduction.
