Syedwala Police have registered a case against a man accused of assaulting a local resident and allegedly subjecting his wife to sexual violence and blackmail over a period of approximately six months.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Case No. 452/26 was registered on September 25, 2026, under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the alleged female victim.
The complainant alleged that the accused initially assaulted her husband, identified as Javed Iqbal, and subjected him to torture and an alleged unnatural assault. She further alleged that the suspect later entered the couple’s residence and assaulted her while displaying a firearm.
According to the complaint recorded in the FIR, the accused allegedly recorded an objectionable video during the incident and subsequently used the material to threaten and blackmail the woman.
The complainant alleged that the suspect continued to sexually assault her for around six months while allegedly using the recorded material as a means of coercion. She approached police and requested legal action over what she described as prolonged threats, blackmail and sexual violence.
Following the complaint, Syedwala Police registered the case and launched an investigation. Police teams have reportedly been directed to trace the nominated suspect, with raids being conducted at different locations as investigators work to locate him.
Investigators are examining the allegations contained in the FIR and collecting evidence related to the reported incidents. Police said medical examinations and forensic procedures would be carried out according to legal requirements.
Investigators are also expected to examine any available digital evidence, including the video mentioned in the complaint, along with other material that could help establish the circumstances surrounding the allegations.
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Station House Officer (SHO) Syedwala. Police officials said teams have been instructed to complete the investigation according to law.
No arrest had been announced at the time of the report. Further legal action is expected after the accused is traced and investigators assess the available evidence.
The allegations in the FIR have not been independently established in court. The registration of a criminal case does not by itself establish the guilt of the accused, and any final determination will depend on the evidence gathered during the investigation and subsequent judicial proceedings.
