At least 10 terrorists affiliated with the group Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during a security operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, according to security sources.
The operation was conducted in the Shor Parod mountainous region after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants. Security forces engaged the suspects in an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 militants, while several others were reportedly injured.
The development comes three days after another counterterrorism operation in Balochistan in which eight militants were reportedly killed following the premature detonation of a vehicle-borne explosive device in Surab district.
Security officials said forces remain committed to intelligence-based operations against militant networks and will continue efforts to prevent terrorist attacks across the country.
The latest operation highlights the continuing security challenges in Balochistan, where militant activity remains a major concern. According to CRSS data cited in the report, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accounted for the overwhelming majority of violence-related fatalities in Pakistan during the second quarter of 2026.
Authorities have vowed to maintain counterterrorism operations aimed at disrupting militant networks and improving security in affected areas.
