FIA Recovers Government Properties from Illegal Occupants in Rawalpindi

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has successfully recovered government properties from illegal occupants during a targeted operation in Rawalpindi.

The operation was conducted by the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad under the directions of Mohsin Naqvi and FIA Director General Dr Usman Anwar. The move is part of a broader nationwide campaign aimed at reclaiming state-owned assets.

According to officials, the recovered properties belong to the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), which manages assets left behind during the 1947 partition. Many of these properties had been under illegal occupation for years.

A special FIA team, formed under senior officials, carried out the operation in the Tyre Bazaar area within the jurisdiction of Ganj Mandi Police Station. The team successfully reclaimed the properties and handed them over to the concerned authorities.

To ensure a smooth operation, strict security measures were put in place to avoid any untoward incidents. The authorities emphasized that such operations will continue across the country as part of efforts to eliminate illegal encroachments.

The recovery drive highlights the government’s commitment to protecting public assets and ensuring that illegally occupied properties are returned to state control.

Over the years, properties managed by the Evacuee Trust Property Board have faced widespread encroachments, prompting repeated recovery campaigns by authorities.

In conclusion, the FIA’s recent action in Rawalpindi represents a significant step towards restoring government properties and reinforcing the rule of law in Pakistan.
