A tragic incident in Abu Dhabi has claimed the life of a fourth Pakistani national after missile debris struck a residential area, highlighting the growing risks amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
According to officials, the incident occurred on Sweihan Street, a mixed residential and industrial zone, when debris fell following the interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems. The impact resulted in casualties, including the death of the Pakistani national, bringing the total number of Pakistani fatalities in recent incidents across the UAE to four.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi confirmed that it is actively coordinating with local authorities to provide support to the affected family and facilitate the repatriation of the deceased’s body back to Pakistan for burial.
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates also reported that an Indian national lost their life in the same incident, while three other individuals from different nationalities sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe.
This latest development follows earlier incidents in Dubai and other parts of Abu Dhabi, where missile debris and related events had already resulted in casualties. The situation reflects the increasing dangers posed by regional conflicts, particularly those linked to rising tensions involving Iran.
The ongoing geopolitical situation has raised serious concerns for expatriates living in the region, including a large number of overseas Pakistanis. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, while diplomatic missions remain engaged in ensuring the safety and support of their citizens.
