JUI-F Candidate Alleges Widespread Rigging in Kalat PB-36 Re-Polling

A political controversy has emerged following the re-polling in the PB-36 Kalat constituency, where a candidate from Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) has alleged widespread irregularities during the voting process.

Saeed Ahmed Langove, the JUI-F candidate from the constituency, claimed that large-scale rigging occurred during the re-polling conducted at seven polling stations.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Quetta Press Club, Langove stated that the election results were manipulated in favour of his rival candidate Mir Ziaullah Langove from the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).

According to Saeed Ahmed Langove, significant irregularities were observed in the distribution of ballot boxes required for the polling process.

He explained that based on the official voter lists, a total of 92 ballot boxes were required for the seven polling stations where re-polling took place.

However, he alleged that only 34 ballot boxes were delivered to the polling stations, leaving 58 ballot boxes missing.

Langove claimed that these missing ballot boxes were allegedly used to stamp ballot papers and manipulate the election results in favour of his opponent.

During the press conference, he stated, “Only 34 out of 92 ballot boxes were delivered to polling stations.”

The JUI-F candidate also claimed that while he was travelling to Kalat on the day of polling, he was stopped at a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpoint for nearly two hours.

He suggested that the delay prevented him from properly monitoring the polling process.

Saeed Ahmed Langove announced that he plans to pursue legal action regarding the alleged irregularities and election manipulation during the re-polling process.

At the time of his statement, there was no official response from election authorities or from his rival candidate Mir Ziaullah Langove regarding the allegations.

The incident has sparked debate over election transparency and the need for fair polling practices in the province.

Political observers believe that the matter may escalate if the allegations are formally challenged in court.
