Father arrested after allegedly killing son in Karachi’s Baldia Town

A young man’s death in Karachi’s Baldia Town has been revealed as a suspected murder after police arrested his father, who allegedly confessed to killing his son during an investigation.

According to police officials, the incident occurred in Gulshan-e-Ghazi area of Baldia Town. The victim had reportedly been missing for several days before returning home, where an argument allegedly took place between him and his father.

Police said the father admitted during questioning that he assaulted his son over what he described as disobedience. The alleged assault resulted in the young man’s death, according to investigators.

Authorities stated that after the incident, the family allegedly attempted to arrange the burial without informing police. However, law enforcement received information about the suspected crime and reached the location before the burial could proceed. The body was taken into custody and sent for legal and medical examination.

The suspect was arrested from the scene, and police registered a murder case against him. Officials said the accused belongs to Swabi and is currently being investigated as part of the ongoing case.

During questioning, the father claimed that his son was involved in drug use. Police have recorded the statement but said further investigation and evidence collection are required to verify the claim.
