KARACHI: Karachi is expected to experience mostly cloudy and humid weather conditions over the next 24 hours, according to the latest forecast issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The weather department has forecast the possibility of light drizzle in different parts of the city, particularly during the morning and nighttime hours. Overall conditions are expected to remain warm, humid and partly cloudy.
The minimum temperature recorded in Karachi was 28°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33°C and 35°C.
The city’s humidity level has been recorded at 78 percent, contributing to uncomfortable conditions for residents. Southwest sea breezes are blowing at around 11 kilometres per hour, which may provide some relief from the heat despite the high humidity.
The combination of cloudy skies, warm temperatures and elevated moisture levels is expected to continue affecting the city’s weather. While the forecast does not indicate any major weather system, isolated light drizzle may temporarily make roads and outdoor areas wet.
Residents have been advised to remain aware of changing weather conditions, particularly during the early morning and nighttime periods when the chances of drizzle are higher.
Karachi’s coastal location often results in humid conditions when moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea influence the city. Cloud cover and sea breezes can help moderate temperatures, but high humidity can make the weather feel warmer and less comfortable.
According to the meteorological department, no major change in weather conditions is expected during the next 24 hours. Karachi is therefore likely to remain cloudy, warm and humid, with occasional light drizzle possible in some areas.
