Pakistan is observing Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with deep religious devotion and enthusiasm as Muslims across the country mark the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Mosques, streets, homes and public buildings have been decorated with lights, while special Milad gatherings, Naat Khawani, prayers and religious programmes are being organised in major cities.
In Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta, devotees are expressing their love and reverence for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) through religious gatherings and processions. Karachi has been decorated with colourful lights, while the main procession is scheduled to begin from Kharadar and conclude at Gulzar-e-Habib Mosque. Lahore is also hosting a major procession, while Peshawar and Quetta are witnessing special Milad and Naat programmes.
Authorities have made arrangements to facilitate the celebrations, including uninterrupted electricity supply in Karachi by K-Electric on the occasion. The nationwide celebrations are being held with prayers for peace, prosperity and stability in Pakistan.
