Pakistan Post Restores International Outbound Mail Services to 188 Destinations

Pakistan Post has officially resumed booking for international outbound mail to 188 destinations worldwide with immediate effect, marking a major restoration of postal operations.

The service had previously been suspended due to escalating tensions in the Middle East following a conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. The disruption significantly impacted global logistics and mail delivery systems.

According to an official circular issued by Additional Director General Maqsood Ahmed, Pakistan Post has now established arrangements with multiple international transit hubs to ensure smooth delivery of outbound mail.

These transit hubs include:

  • Azerpost via Baku
  • Emirates Post via Dubai
  • Post Malaysia via Kuala Lumpur
  • Turkish Post via Istanbul
  • PostNL via Amsterdam
  • Australia Post via Sydney
  • China Post via Beijing

Additionally, direct flight connectivity through Pakistan International Airlines is also being utilised for certain destinations, further supporting the resumption of services.

However, booking remains suspended for 19 destinations, including Afghanistan, Bahrain, India, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, among others. Pakistan Post has stated that services to these countries will be restored gradually in phases.

This development signals a significant step toward normalising international logistics and communication channels for Pakistani customers after a period of disruption caused by geopolitical tensions.

With services now active for the majority of destinations, individuals and businesses can once again send mail internationally with improved connectivity and transit arrangements.
