A tragic incident occurred at a petrol station where a worker lost his life after refusing to provide petrol in a container, highlighting serious concerns about workplace safety and public behaviour at fuel stations.
According to police reports, a car arrived at the petrol pump to refuel. After filling petrol in their vehicle, the people inside the car requested the worker to also fill approximately 10 litres of petrol in a separate can.
However, the petrol pump employee refused the request because many fuel stations follow strict safety regulations that prohibit providing petrol in loose containers. These rules are designed to prevent accidents, illegal storage, or misuse of fuel.
The worker’s refusal led to a heated argument between the petrol pump staff and the individuals in the vehicle. Witnesses reported that the situation quickly escalated into a serious dispute.
During the confrontation, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a firearm and opened fire at the petrol pump workers. As a result of the shooting, one worker died at the scene while another employee was injured.
The injured worker was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he received medical treatment. Meanwhile, the suspects fled from the scene in their vehicle soon after the attack.
Police authorities were informed about the incident and reached the location shortly after the shooting. Law enforcement officials secured the area, collected evidence, and launched an investigation to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the deadly attack.
The shocking incident has raised serious questions about safety measures for workers at petrol stations and the need for stronger protection against violent disputes in workplaces.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and are working to track down the suspects responsible for the shooting.
