Four Injured in Clash Over Gold-Deposits Site in South Waziristan

A violent clash broke out in Kaniguram tehsil of South Waziristan, leaving four people injured after members of two sub-clans of the Mehsud tribe fought over ownership of a site believed to contain gold deposits. According to witnesses, the dispute involved the Malakshahai and Nazarkhel sub-clans.

The situation escalated quickly from a verbal argument to a physical confrontation, where both sides reportedly used stones and daggers. The injured individuals were immediately shifted to a local health facility and later referred to District Headquarters Hospital Wana for further treatment.

Police confirmed that four people were injured in the incident and said security forces were deployed to control the situation and prevent further violence. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and an investigation is currently underway to determine responsibility.

Meanwhile, tribal elders have also stepped in to mediate and help resolve the dispute peacefully, while authorities continue to monitor the situation in the area.
