PM Shehbaz, Military Leadership Vow to Eliminate Terrorism with Full Force

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that Pakistan’s civil and military leadership has reached a unified decision to eliminate terrorism across the country. Speaking at the National Action Plan Apex Committee meeting in Quetta, the prime minister reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, saying security operations will continue day and night until every militant network is dismantled.

The high-level meeting, attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, federal ministers, and senior security officials, reviewed the law and order situation in Balochistan and discussed measures to strengthen counterterrorism efforts.

Shehbaz Sharif said terrorism poses a serious threat to Pakistan’s peace, stability, and economic development. He alleged that hostile external forces were supporting militant groups operating in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while emphasizing that the state would not allow any attempt to undermine national security.

The prime minister paid tribute to the armed forces, police, and civilians who lost their lives in recent terrorist attacks and praised the security forces for eliminating dozens of militants during intelligence-based operations. He stressed that lasting peace in Balochistan is essential for Pakistan’s prosperity and assured full federal support to provincial authorities in restoring peace and strengthening the writ of the state.
