Sargodha: The government is working seriously to solve the problems of transgenders. Provision of education for transgenders ensures our bright future. The provision of educational facilities for them is an important step of the education department. These views were expressed by District Education Officer Syed Ehteshamul Haque Hamdani while addressing the opening ceremony of Cross Gender Class in Government High School No.1 Sargodha. Earlier, Focal Person Muhammad Ilyas Bajwa, Dr. Haroon-ul-Rashid Tabasum, Guru Mahi, Shoaib Hussain and Muhammad Usman also expressed their views. Muhammad Ilyas Bajwa while highlighting the aims and objectives of this class, said, special compensation will be given to the students of the cross-gender class. Salary has also been announced to the in-charge Guru. The syllabus of the classes will be presented in Urdu and English soon. Primary education has been started. Class Guru Mahi said, We are the neglected section of the society. The government has done a great
job by organizing education. Educated transgenders will be able to understand situations, events and problems related to daily life. Dr. Haroon Al-Rashid Tabasim said, training of transgenders will yield substantial positive results.
