PIO Raisa Adil PIDThe position of Principal Information Officer is very significant regarding several aspects. The Press Information Department of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is headed by the PIO who practically handles the electronic and print media. In the current situation, digital media has also joined it and is leading role to clarify the government and national position not only in the country but also at the international level. The previous government gave priority to social media. Hence, print media was completely neglected. The present PDM government to some extent has silenced the groups that deny the usefulness of print media. PIO Mubashir Hassan has tried his best to address the abuses of print media. He was quite successful in this endeavor. There are reports regarding him that he will leaving this post in connection with a course. The names of several senior officers of the Information Group are being considered for the new PIO, among which the most prominent name is Ms. Raisa Adil.

Raisa Adil Past Experience

DDG Raisa Adil is best suited for this important position in several respects, first of which is her extensive experience. Raisa Adil had been organised as DG PID Karachi.  Where she delt with the most difficult task of interpreting federal institutions. She also performed her duties well in the position of Director ABC. While she is currently looking at the Censor Board in addition to DDG. Apart from this, she has performed her duties well on various occasions. Therefore, it will not be wrong to say that she can play the role of a bridge between the media and the government. Definitely  Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Information Secretary Sohail Ali Khan will select competent and experienced officer Raisa Adil as PIO.
