Water Shortage Problem in Karachi

The Editor,

Dear Sir,

The problem of water shortage in 65% areas of Karachi has not been solved. Water is a basic right and need of every human being and every living thing, so this problem must be solved permanently. Unfortunately, the authorities in charge of the city’s water and sewerage system did not take any action, although citizens continue to pay their water bills. Water shortages are on the rise and the tanker mafia business is booming. They do not follow the rates written on their tankers and quote prices as they wish. Given the severe water shortage in the city, it is worth asking where does this tanker mafia get millions of gallons of water from? I request the concerned authorities to have mercy on the people and provide them with piped water. Now the situation is very bad in Karachi with regard to water shortage. People are paying a high price for it. They are also begging for it. Tearful eyes are screaming for water!
