Sargodha: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s claims to control inflation have been blown up by the Sargodha administration. As soon as Ramadan started, inflation became uncontrollable. It has become difficult for the common man to buy all the basic necessities. In the city, onion is Rs 300 per kg, tomato is Rs 200 per kg, ginger is Rs 800 per kg and garlic is Rs 800 per kg. While the prices of vegetables and dates have also doubled. Bananas and apples are also out of reach of the public. Citizens are worried because the prices of food items are increasing day by day. All administrative affairs controllers are still as helpless as ordinary citizens. Price control committees are confined to offices. All the officers including Commissioner Sargodha, DC Sargodha and Assistant Commissioner are limited to the photo session while distributing Ramadan Nigehban packages. Hoarders and profiteers are boldly active this time as well. Concerned citizens have demanded Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to take notice of this situation.
