A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sargodha Waste Management Committee was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division, Jahanzeb Awan, in his committee room. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Captain (retd) Muhammad Waseem, CEO of SMWC Rana Shahid Imran, Directors Chaudhry Abdul Razzaq Dhillon, Sultan Ali Ranjha, Umair Ashraf, Kishwar Durrani, SE Public Health Engineering Syed Soolat Raza, ADCR Fahad Mahmood, and CO MC Zoya Baloch. Officers from the Finance and Local Government departments participated via video link from Lahore. Three agenda items were presented during the meeting, including the approval of decisions made by the three committees formed by the company. The Board of Directors received a report from the Human Resources Committee on the appointments of Chief Finance Officer, Senior Manager HR & Admin, and Company Secretary. The Procurement Committee also presented details regarding the companies participating in the cleaning operations across the 18 tehsils of the division and those that had won the auctions. The Board unanimously approved the decisions made by the Finance Committee. Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan stated that the establishment of Waste Management Companies across the province is a flagship project of the current government. The Punjab Chief Minister has allocated billions of rupees to ensure cleanliness in both urban and rural areas. All processes for making the company functional will be carried out transparently so that the public can truly benefit from cleanliness and sanitation services.
