Pakistan is a sacred country that emerged on the face of this earth as a result of matchless sacrifices of countless selfless individuals for a sacred purpose. Our forefathers, under the visionary leadership of the Father of Nation, worked day in and day out to realize the dream of having a separate land where we were expected to live as freely as birds, as happily as larks, as busily as bees, and as freely as butterflies do. The purpose was great, the price was even greater, and the selflessness of the brave individuals was beyond imagination. We realized our dream and soon after its realization, our sweet dreams turned into nightmares. Our forefathers realized that they still were slaves and they still had been doing drudgery. It was really a very heart-wrenching, spine-chilling and blood curdling revelation and it dragged them to the quagmire of frustration. The dejection was not about their own deprivation, but it was about the future generations – about us. Were they also going to be the slaves of ruling elite and pressure groups? At that time, they didn’t know the answer, but, unfortunately, their apprehensions proved right. We are the slaves of ruling elites and pressure groups, and at the moment, we don’t have savors, like the Father of the Nation, who may relieve us from the blood thirsty jaws of cruel authoritative giants.
Unfortunately, we have been enslaved without our knowledge and without our agreement to just a few families. They are cruel, selfish, and callous. The ruling elites and power groups are those which believe in feathering their own nests. They are least concerned about the betterment of Pakistani Nation. They believe in looting, robbing, deceiving and destroying the nation. Pressure groups exercise their powers just for the gains of their own or for their allies. They have the power to get their works done. Lay men can’t even imagine to get their legal works done, but they possess the magic wands and do whatever they want to do. Same magic wands have been possessed by their children and all the members of their families. There is no law and ethicalities for them. If they tell a lie, that lie is considered the truth, because none has the power to oppose and negate them.
It is as obvious as broad daylight that the ruling elite and pressure groups of our dear homeland have nothing to do with the betterment of the country. They are in this world to rob and exercise their power. They are least concerned with the safety and security of lay men. They believe that they are here to rule and, unfortunately, they have succeeded in doing so. Corruption is always on increase and it is the shocking gift of our ruling elite. They earn trillions through corruptions and then their facilitators create a chaotic situation as the after effects of their sprees. It becomes their birth right to fleece the poor people of Pakistan. The corrupt officers are concerned about fattening the bank accounts of the big guns and big wigs sitting in the high asylums of power and prerogatives. They close their eyes to the consequences and the poor people have to face the stampede the hirelings of the ruling elite and power groups.
It goes without saying that pressure groups are very well-versed in getting advantages of every situation. They work for the nefarious designs of manipulating the situation and they succeed in doing so. It seems improbable that Pakistani nation will come out of the clutches of these ruling elites and power groups. They exercise their power like mad elephants and destroy everything around them. We need the support of the government to control them, but shockingly, the governments are run by these elites. It is not possible that they will act against their own benefits. Our lives are miserable due to these power groups and rulings elites, because they are the mafias. We can’t expect any reform. We can’t expect any improvement in the situation. The public has to go from pillar to post for their legal rights and they will have to do this till they breathe their last. The masses are compelled to bewail against inflation, corruption, adulteration, and countless other cruelties for no good results. We don’t have any savior. All our hopes of improvement in the situation have been dashed to the ground and we have fallen preys to frustration, dejection and disappointment.
One of the most shocking spectacles is that we support our own tormenters and stand by the robbers who have been robbing us since ages. We deliver sermons very eloquently in favor of those who afflict, agonize, exploit, loot, plunder, and destroy us. This is pretty strange scenario that we shower praises upon those who are very keen to stab into our backs. The very fact proves that we are insensible people and we don’t realize what is good and what is bad for us. We have very elatedly embraced this slavery, and we are happily satisfied to serve those who have deprived us of our birth rights. It seems that we have lost every ability to think, analyze and realize that we have been supporting those who are like snakes in the grass for us; and they are the people who have poisoned our lives and have turned us into despicably lower strata of society. We don’t hesitate to stand against our friends, kith & kin and even our well-wishers just to support our sworn enemies. It is the mindset of the ruling elite that they will keep us under their feet throughout our lives. Just the feet will change and there will be no change in our status. Power groups will keep on exploiting us. It is a heart-rending fact that our attitude shows that we are happily exploited.
No nation on the face of this earth will facilitate those who will try to destroy them. But, strangely enough, we belong to the nation which is not only happy to be the slave of ruling elite and power groups itself, but it inspires, motivates and even compels the children also to continue this disgusting legacy till they themselves breathe their last. We are a part of vicious circle and we will keep on moving round and round, until we realize our blunders or some savior steps forward to help us in getting rid of this devastation.
Education is something which we consider very sacred and we have the feelings that this area of our lives is pure and there is no exploitation. I regret to assert that it is not the case. There are ruling elites and pressure groups in education sector also. They are also the Holy Cows and untouchables like the big guns and big wigs we have in other sectors. They are each other’s allies. They are each other’s facilitators. They have been undermining the sanctity of this sacred sector and prophetic profession for their cheapish gains and selfish designs. They try to exercise their authority and the poor pedagogues remain under their thumbs and have to abide by the behests of the powerful elites of this profession. That is one of the major reasons that we have very stifled atmosphere in our universities. The role models don’t have any freedom to speak their minds or to act independently. They remain at the beck and call of the ruling elites of educational giants and those giants are the agents of some other ruling elites and pressure groups. This scenario has facilitated the mafias to have their say in the decisions and procedures of our very sacred pedagogical hubs.
The situation is very deplorable and the plight of the lower strata of society is horrifically terrible, and the stranglehold of the ruling elites and pressure groups is tightening day by day, but, by the Grace of Allah, we are not programed and trained to lose all our hopes and fall victims to hopelessness. Our hopes are still alive and we have been waiting for the miracles to happen and miracles do happen, we know. We are waiting for the saviors and saviors are definitely born sooner or later. The cruelty when reaches to the limits, it perishes. There is always the darkest moments, before the sun rises and we are waiting for the bright sun to rise and spread its beams of enlightenment and hope. There is calm before the storm, and we are waiting for the storms of awareness, bravery, courage, realization, sensibility, and vocal utterances for our own rights. The Creator and the Sustainer will help us in these trialing situations and will show us the right path.
