The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has declared 14 districts as highly sensitive and 10 districts as sensitive ahead of Eidul Fitr, citing potential security concerns.
According to official sources, all law enforcement agencies, including police and Rescue 1122, have been placed on high alert across the province.
Leaves Cancelled, Special Duties Assigned
Authorities have cancelled leaves of law enforcement personnel and issued special duty schedules to ensure effective security arrangements during the Eid holidays.
Enhanced security measures have also been planned for Chand Raat, the night marking the end of Ramadan, which typically sees large public gatherings.
Additional personnel will be deployed in sensitive areas to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents.
Hospitals on Emergency Alert
Hospitals across the province have been directed to remain on emergency footing.
Leaves of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff have been restricted to ensure readiness in case of any emergency situation.
Authorities have also ensured the availability of medicines and essential medical supplies in healthcare facilities.
Comprehensive Security Plan
The measures reflect a coordinated approach by the provincial government, combining both security enforcement and healthcare preparedness.
The designation of multiple districts as sensitive highlights the scale of security challenges during major religious events like Eidul Fitr.
Officials stated that these steps are aimed at ensuring public safety and smooth celebrations across the province.
The deployment of additional forces and strict monitoring is expected to help maintain peace during one of the most significant festivals in Pakistan.
