A series of robbery incidents have been reported across different areas of Islamabad, raising concerns about public safety in the capital city. According to police reports, criminal gangs targeted citizens at multiple locations, resulting in injuries and the loss of cash, valuables, and vehicles.
One of the most serious incidents occurred in the Khanna area, where a man identified as Imran Ahmed was attacked while travelling on his motorcycle. Police said that two suspects intercepted him on the road, robbed him, and stabbed him multiple times during the assault. After injuring the victim, the attackers stole his motorcycle, which was estimated to be worth around Rs60,000, before fleeing the scene.
In another incident reported in Bhara Kahu, four armed robbers targeted a shop located near Jhangi Stop. The shop owner, Mohammad Umer, was held at gunpoint by the suspects during the robbery. The criminals managed to steal Rs100,000 in cash, a mobile phone, and cigarettes valued at approximately Rs50,000 before escaping from the area.
Police also reported another robbery case in the G-11 sector of Islamabad. In this incident, a man was reportedly robbed by a group of suspects who took his cash and mobile phones. However, authorities did not immediately disclose the identity of the victim or the total value of the stolen items.
These incidents highlight the growing concerns regarding street crime in the federal capital. Residents have expressed worry about safety as multiple robbery cases have been reported in different parts of the city within a short period of time.
Islamabad police have launched investigations into all reported incidents and are working to identify and arrest the suspects involved. Authorities say efforts are underway to gather evidence and increase security measures in affected areas to prevent further crimes.
