Railways Police Pakistan Training Centre Found Lacking Basic Facilities and Standards

An inspection of the Railways Police Pakistan training centre has revealed serious shortcomings in infrastructure and training standards, raising concerns about the quality of facilities provided to trainees.

During a visit to the centre in Lahore, Inspector General Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan expressed strong dissatisfaction with the existing arrangements.

The IG observed that trainees were not being provided with adequate basic facilities, particularly highlighting the absence of a proper dining area. He noted that food was being served in buckets, describing the practice as unacceptable and below standard.

Following the inspection, Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan directed the immediate establishment of a standard mess facility to ensure better living conditions for trainees.

The findings have brought attention to broader issues within the training system, including gaps in infrastructure and the overall quality of training provided at the centre.

Officials indicated that the deficiencies identified during the visit reflect the need for urgent reforms to improve both facilities and training standards. The lack of proper amenities has raised concerns about how effectively trainees are being prepared for their roles.

The inspection highlights the importance of maintaining proper standards in law enforcement training institutions, as these directly impact the performance and professionalism of personnel in the field.
