The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has launched a modern live monitoring system for matriculation exams to ensure transparency and prevent cheating.
Under this new initiative, the board has established a state-of-the-art command and control center where officials can monitor examination centers in real time through CCTV cameras. Currently, live footage is being streamed from around 100 centers, while another 150 centers have been equipped with cameras and are ready with backup systems.
According to Board Secretary Amjad Iqbal, the system will significantly reduce the need for physical monitoring teams and help save approximately 40 million rupees. He emphasized that the goal is to promote a fair and merit-based examination system.
The digital monitoring system has already proven effective, as authorities detected unfair practices and registered cases against candidates in Chakwal for using unauthorized means during exams.
Officials believe that this technology-driven approach will enhance transparency, ensure strict compliance with examination rules, and discourage malpractice. Immediate action will be taken against any violations identified through the live monitoring system.
This initiative marks a major step toward modernizing the education system in Pakistan and ensuring a fair environment for students.
