RDA Crack Down against 16 illegal housing schemes in Rawat

RAWALPINDI: On the directions of the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaqat Ali Chattha, the Chairman Task Force / Director General RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa conducted a grand operation against sixteen illegal housing schemes in Mouzas Adhwal, Cighu, Chak Cighu, Bhal, Titral, Hoon, Gojra Chak, Ralla, Ralla Gujra, Banda,Wariyam Malokra, Gurha Bertha, Kuri Khuda Bakhsh and Bagga Sheikhan namely Hoon Farm, Theme Park, Cighu Farm House, Gren Hawks / Haurts Flora Farms, Freedom Smart Home, Islamabad Forms Phase-I, II, Shahzain Town, Atlantic City, Attar Farms, Project of BSM Developers, Green View, Lake Viwe City / Lake Garden Green Farm House, Green Stone and Gulmerg Garden in Rawat Rawalpindi, demolished / sealed site offices, main entrances, guard rooms, boundary walls, dividers and road infrastructure of illegal housing schemes.
The Chairman Task Force / DG RDA said that on the complaints of the general public, grand operations are continued and conducted to stop fraud of illegal housing schemes, and looting of the citizens. He said that complaints were received from the general public about illegal occupation of the owners of illegal housing schemes. He further said that operations will be continued against illegal housing schemes.
He said that the owners of housing schemes who have completed the legal documents have been given the possession of the land. He said RDA has been issuing press releases from time to time for the information of the general public. The citizens should not invest in illegal housing schemes and requested to visit RDA website www.rda.gop.pk and are advised to buy and sell only from approved housing schemes.
According to the authorities, previously notices were issued to the owners and sponsors of above mentioned illegal housing schemes namely Mr. Muhammad Shafeeq Akbar, Mr. Awais Malik, Mr. Khushi Muhammad Toor, Mr. Muhammad Arif, Mr. Tajammal Hussain Khanial, Mr. Saeed, Muhammad Haroon Rasheed, Muhammad Nadeem, Malik Muhammad Haroon, Malik Naeem Asmat, Muhammad Ikhlaq, Ch Muhammad Aftab, Malik Shakeel, Ch. Sameer Akbar and FIRs were also lodged to stop illegal advertisements, bookings and development. The owners of these properties were running booking offices of illegal housing schemes in violation of the rules.
The Task Force including Deputy Director Planning Samiullah Niazi, Assistant Director Building Control RDA, Assistant Director Land RDA, Assistant Director Planning RDA, ASP Saddar Rawalpindi Zainab Qayyum, DSP Rawat Mr. Noman, Sub Inspectors from Police Stations Saddar and Rawat Rawalpindi, RDA Scheme Inspectors, District Council Inspector, District Administration Representative along with other team members taken grand operation jointly.
