The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has called the witnesses for the trial of the criminal case declaring the application of the Election Commission as admissible in the Tosha Khana case against Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.

In the case related to the Tosha Khana criminal proceedings against Chairman PTI, Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar declared the petition admissible after hearing the arguments.

The court had reserved its decision on whether the application was admissible or not after the arguments of Election Commission’s counsel Amjad Pervaiz were completed.

The court has summoned the witnesses for the Tosha Khana criminal case trial and now the Tosha Khana trial will begin from July 12.

According to Daily Soon Times Court Correspondent Qasim Ali reported that Earlier, during the hearing, Amjad Pervez, the lawyer of the Election Commission, had argued that the Election Commission has a constitutional responsibility to take action against corrupt practices.

He said that there is no expiry of the crime. He said that the legal team of Chairman PTI believes that the Election Commission should not file a complaint on corrupt practices while the Constitution of Pakistan itself says that action should be taken against corrupt practices. .

The lawyer of the Election Commission said that the Speaker of the National Assembly sent a reference to the Election Commission according to which the former Prime Minister took gifts from Tosha Khana which were not disclosed.

He said that the Election Commission took notice of the reference and issued a decision after taking legal action on it.

The local court asked Imran Khan’s lawyer to present arguments, then Imran Khan’s lawyer requested him to adjourn the hearing of the case till Monday, which the court rejected.

Judge Humayun Dilawar told Imran Khan’s lawyer Gohar Ali Khan that the Islamabad High Court has given him such a big relief, to which the lawyer Gohar Ali Khan replied that the Islamabad High Court has not given any relief to Chairman PTI.

Gohar Ali Khan said that the central lawyer Khawaja Haris is busy. Judge Humayun Dilawar remarked that “every Pakistani is watching the Tosha Khana case, since this case has come, other cases have stopped in my court.”
