From August 21 to August 27, 2023, Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan recovered 793.209 kg of drugs, 15000 liters of hydrochloric acid and 5250 liters of sulfuric acid with an international value of $14.921 million during 35 operations. In these operations, 29 suspects including 1 woman and 1 foreign resident were arrested, while 8 vehicles used in drug trafficking were also seized. The recovered drugs include 143,800 kg of opium, 5,065 kg of heroin, 528,490 kg of hashish, 12,815 kg of methamphetamine (ice), 103 kg of morphine and 39 grams of ecstasy pills (100 pieces). ANF Balochistan recovered 318 kg of drugs, 15000 liters of hydrochloric acid and 5250 liters of sulfuric acid in 4 operations, arrested 3 suspects and seized 2 vehicles. The recovered drugs include 67 kg of opium, 148 kg of hashish and 103 kg of morphine. ANF Punjab recovered 217.702 kg of drugs during 4 operations and arrested 4 suspects and also seized 3 vehicles. The recovered drugs include 36 kg of opium, 1.702 kg of heroin and 180 kg of hashish. During 11 operations, ANF Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recovered 104.367 kg of drugs, arrested 8 suspects including a foreigner and also seized a vehicle. ANF Sindh recovered 2.140 kg of methamphetamine (ice) during 4 operations. ANF Rawalpindi during 12 operations recovered 151 kg of drugs and 1 9 mm and 30 bore pistol with ammunition and arrested 14 suspects including a woman and also seized 2 vehicles. The recovered drugs include 30 kg of opium, 3.013 kg of heroin, 114.490 kg of hashish, 3.458 kg of methamphetamine (ice) and 39 grams of ecstasy tablets (100 pieces). According to the spokesperson of ANF, all the cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered in the respective police stations and the investigation has been started.
