Lahore (Soon Times) – Danyal Saleem Gilani has taken over charge as Secretary Information & Culture Punjab. Current Secretary Information & Culture Punjab Ali Nawaz Malik appointed as the Press Counsellor in Pakistan embassy in UK. Danyal Saleem Gilani is one of the most experienced information officers who has demonstrated his immense skills in key institutions in Pakistan. Danyal Saleem Gilani transferred from Audit bureau of Circulation before this already posted as Director ABC as well. He has also been the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of the Film Censor Board. Before being appointed as the Press Counsellor Danyal was working as Director, Information Minister’s Office.
Meanwhile, the All Publishers & Newspaper Solutions (APNS) has welcomed appointment of Danyal Saleem Gilani. His predecessor Ali Nawaz Malik will travel to UK in last week of September. Regional Newspapers facing troubles due to inflation wave in the country, this appointment must support regional and local Newspapers including clearance of payments.
Before joining the civil service of Pakistan Danyal remained associated with various newspapers on key positions. He is a respected figure among the journalistic fraternity of Pakistan.
