PM Shehbaz Sharif Says Pakistan Managing Economic Challenges Effectively Amid Regional Conflict

Shehbaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan is effectively managing economic and financial challenges despite ongoing regional tensions and rising global prices.

Speaking during a high-level review meeting in Islamabad, the Prime Minister emphasized that the country has successfully maintained the demand and supply balance of essential goods, preventing any major disruptions.

He praised the coordination among government ministries and institutions, noting that timely measures have helped stabilize the situation. He also directed authorities to further strengthen collaboration to ensure continued economic resilience.

The Prime Minister highlighted that after meeting domestic needs, Pakistan is working on a comprehensive strategy to boost exports of surplus production. This approach aims to strengthen the national economy and improve trade performance.

In view of rising global prices, he called for a detailed medium- and long-term strategy to minimize economic impacts. The plan will focus on stability, growth, and protecting the country from external financial pressures.

He also stressed the importance of safeguarding agricultural and industrial sectors from the effects of regional conflict, ensuring that production remains stable and sustainable.

Officials confirmed that relevant ministries are closely monitoring the situation and reviewing economic developments on a daily basis to respond effectively to any challenges.

The government reiterated its commitment to maintaining economic stability and protecting public welfare during this critical period.
